Sofya Marso - Mixed Media Artist 

Sofya-Mia Marso from a young age has been constructing prototypes from building kits and making replicas out of fabric. She is a versatile mixed media artist with a background in wearable art and fashion. Her techniques are greatly inspired by detailed art nouveau period, traditional arts and crafts around the Globe. Her main inspiration theme is human identity in a globalised world. Sofya Marso has been learning about world cultures and regional arts, it helped her to broaden the vision and skills. Being natural explorer and passionate traveler after a decade around a world made her focus on professional occupation. Using her own multicultural back ground she creates elaborate and detailed art objects, wearable art, and art installations.

 As Sofya has discovered, that technology can be combined to help to produce a stunning wearable art pieces, she implements her computer design skills in laser-cutting and 3D printing. These nontraditional craft techniques brings unique variety to her wearable art and art objects. Mixing traditional and nontraditional practices bring varying degree of deep dimensions, intricate textures, and uniqueness  in her work.
